Overview

Oil-Immersed Distribution Transformers utilize insulating oil as the dielectric medium to efficiently change voltage and transmit AC power. Composed of a core, coils, tap changer, and tank, these transformers are designed with a compact footprint and exceptional weather resistance. 

They are widely used in power systems, industrial and mining enterprises, transportation networks, telecommunications, and research facilities. Available in ratings up to 35kV, our product lineup includes flat stacked core, three-dimensional wound core, and amorphous alloy series. With flexible structures and a sleek design, we provide tailored equipment to meet diverse user requirements.

Structural Features

    Core

    Materials: Made of high-permeability, low-loss silicon steel or amorphous alloy.
    Design: Features a stepped, multi-level joint structure that significantly minimizes no-load loss and current.

    Winding

    Insulation: Uses Class A or higher grade insulating materials.
    High-Voltage Coil: Multi-layer cylindrical design provides excellent resistance to impulse voltage.
    Low-Voltage Coil: Foil-type winding ensures optimal space utilization and balanced inter-layer capacitance.

    Clamp

    Structure: Utilizes I-beam channel steel to firmly tighten the core and stabilize the body against loosening.
    Grounding: Ensures safe and reliable single-point grounding through the clamp structure.

    Tank

    Protection: Fully encloses the insulating oil to prevent contact with air and moisture.
    Smart Design: Corrugated rectangular tanks are standard; their flexible sheets expand and contract to compensate for oil volume changes due to temperature variations.

Performance Advantages

Fully Enclosed Structure: The fully sealed corrugated tank design prevents air and moisture from contacting the transformer, helping reduce oil aging and extend transformer service life. The elastic deformation of the corrugated fins automatically compensates for oil volume changes caused by thermal expansion and contraction.


Safe, Reliable & Maintenance-Free: Designed for outdoor use without an oil conservator, this unit offers a high pollution resistance rating. Oil replacement is not required under normal operating conditions, achieving true maintenance-free operation and ensuring grid reliability. 


Pressure Relief Valve Equipped: It is equipped with a pressure relief safety device that reliably vents excessive internal pressure in case of a fault, preventing accident escalation.


Optional Sealing Methods: Two sealing methods are available: tank-edge welding and bolt fastening.


Optimized Temperature Rise: Through calculated oil flow distribution, we minimize both hotspot and average winding temperature rises. The design features small oil gaps, multiple oil channels, and slotted pressure plates to ensure smooth oil circulation and superior cooling performance.


High Short-Circuit Withstand Capability: We utilize dynamic analysis to calculate short-circuit mechanical forces. The high-voltage windings are automatically wound using a flattening process to increase wire hardness and mechanical strength. Furthermore, a grid-style oil duct design is adopted to significantly enhance short-circuit resistance.
